'Wereldmuziekcentrum' (World Music Centre) in Rotterdam

Parallel to the development of a World Music Centre in Serpa, Portugal, a number of institutions in the Netherlands have taken up the initiative of creating an international centre for world music activities - approved by the World Music Centre foundation.

The Wereldmuziekcentrum will be a joint project by a number of partners in the city of Rotterdam. Currently these partners are investigating political and funding implications, and the plan is still in development.

On September 12th 2003 the Wereldmuziekcentrum Rotterdam will be presented to a wider audience. See also: WMC -> Rotterdam on this website.
